Description

"During the early years of the film's development (in the early 1980s), both Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata were involved with the film, but left due to differing views on what the film should be, and desire to work on other projects. [Brian Froud and Jean Giraud/Moebius also participated in the film.]"

While the film was more or less Westernized, you can still see hints of Miyazaki and Takahata's influence in the art...especially in the 1984 pilot video, which is outrageously awesome. While I love the film, it would have been really interesting and probably even better had Miyazaki and Co. stayed.

SOooo, because of the info above, as well as my love for Miyazaki's films and style in general, and also to divulge my old desire to draw 'anime,' I whipped this up last night! Dinah looks like stereotypical crap, but I love how Flip and Meredith came out.

If we spent every minute of our lives thanking God for all that He has done, that still wouldn't be enough.
